Accessibility

We want every person to be able to read this site, choose a stone and buy a piece without anyone's help. This page says what we have done, what we know is still short, and how to reach a person when something is in your way.

  Our target. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the whole site. We audited the live site against that standard on August 28, 2026 and we re-test after each release that changes the pages.

  What is in place. A skip link at the top of every page takes keyboard users straight past the header. One main landmark per page, with header, navigation and footer landmarks around it. Every control can be reached and used with a keyboard, and focus is always visible. Text and controls meet the AA contrast ratio on every surface we have measured. Images that carry meaning have written descriptions. Forms have labels, required fields are marked, and errors are announced. Search results and loading states are announced to screen readers. A "Reduce motion" switch in the footer stops animation and looping video, and the site also follows the reduce motion setting of your device. The page can be zoomed to 200 per cent without losing content.

  What we know is still short. Some of the smallest labels on cards are below the size we would like. A few looping product videos have no pause control of their own beyond the reduce motion switch. The payment step is a frame provided by our payment processor and we cannot change its markup. Product imagery is computer rendered and its written descriptions say so, but a description cannot replace seeing the piece; a video consultation is open to anyone who wants one.

  How to get help. If any part of this site is hard to use, or you need something in another format, write to [email protected] and say what you were trying to do. A person answers within 2 business days, and we will help you complete the purchase or the enquiry another way while we fix the page.

  Testing. We test with keyboard only, with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, with 200 per cent zoom, with reduced motion switched on, and with automated checks for contrast, names and landmarks.
