Find your size at home.
Two ways to measure, one table to read the answer off, and a sizer you can print at true scale. Your size is captured at checkout and confirmed with you before your piece is made.
Two ways to measure.
The string method
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or a length of string around the base of the finger, snug but not tight.
- Mark where the end meets the wrap, then lay it flat against a ruler and read the millimetres.
- That figure is the circumference. Find it in the table below, or use the strip on the printed sizer.
- If the knuckle is noticeably wider than the base, measure the knuckle too and choose between the two.
A ring you already own
- Choose a ring that fits the same finger on the same hand. Left and right differ.
- Measure the inside, edge to edge across the widest point, in millimetres.
- That figure is the inside diameter. Read it off the table, or lay the ring over the circles on the printed sizer until one matches exactly.
When to measure
- At the end of the day, when fingers are at their fullest.
- With warm hands. Cold fingers can read up to half a size smaller.
- Twice. If the two readings differ, the larger one is usually right.
- For a wide band, round up half a size; a wide band sits tighter than a slim one at the same size.
Canada and US sizes.
Canada and the United States share one scale. Inside diameter is what a ring you own gives you; circumference is what the string gives you. Sizes marked with a dot can be chosen at checkout today; for any other size, write to us and we will make it to yours.
